Áo Dài is Vietnam's national garment. The flowing of fabric figure hugging had it root in the 18th century under the Nguyen dynasty. This national treasure was inspired by the Chinese and Cham own national garment and through adaptation, it evolved into a long tunic with slits at the sides and paired with a loose trouser. Once a simple minimalist design over time have transformed into a more elegant design that is today.
